    [Pump problems]
    Hey,

first post to this forum--glad to have found it already!

I have been using Hypro pumps that are directly connected to the water supply (about 80 psi). Lately I have had a problem with one particular pump, where I am getting pressure fluctuations and a 'chattering' output, kind of like a sound a kid makes when making a machine gun noise. The Hypro guy said to replace the unloader, I did, and nothing changed. Now he's telling me to take the valves apart and check for wear. on a 3-week old pump?

Anyone have any advice on the specific problem?

    comments on Hypro pumps?

Recommendations for a good pump that lasts and can be easily serviced?

    Thanks!

I think you should change your pump because they have no able to work properly it cause they often fluctuate . I recommend only buy new buy if you really interested to buy so you can search in Google it helps you can detect about new motors company .

The valves may not necessarily be worn, but rather one valve may have started out with a faulty or improperly installed rubber o-ring. I'm not familiar with Hydro pumps (I'm using Cat), but with the Cat there are 3 pistons which pump the water. If one isn't working right you get that chattering effect (the chatter comes from that piston/cylinder not putting out as much pressure). The o-rings are easy to check and/or replace.

It sounds that you have a flactuating pump, I think you should change it.
